Vaisakhi (Punjabi: ਵਿਸਾਖੀ) (Hindi: विसाखी) visākhī), also known as Baisakhi, Vaishakhi, or Vasakhi) is an ancient harvest festival celebrated across the northern Indian subcontinent, especially in the Punjab region by all Punjabis Sikhs.

Baisakhi Celebrated as New Year
Baisakhi is Celebrated as New Year in Punjab, India, it is also treated as the Harvest Festival as it marks the maturing of the winter crop especially Rabi Crop & the last major festival before farmers roll up their sleeves and begin harvesting the grain. It is an important festivals celebrated with fun and fervor by the people living in the northern parts of the country. Apart from being a harvest festival, it holds religious significance too.
