The Legislative Assembly election in Karnataka is going to be conducted on 5th May 2013. There are a total of 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka & the winner party needs 113 seats out of the total of 224 seats. The election will be conducted in the single phase assembly election. Around 4.18 crore candidates are eligible to vote in Karnataka. It seams like Congress has an upper hand in the assembly election aftr what happened in 2011 in which the ruling party BJP's CM BS Yeddyurappa. a Lingayat strongman was asked to step down.
